Mother in law has been coughing for months now, spetum results show negative but dry cough persistent, worse at nite and previously has had tb of the skin, no referral for bloods just cough syrups that are not helpful, what could be the problem?

Chest image: Obtain a chest x ray/CT and sputum cultures for TB. Given her history, ruling out TB is important. Other causes may include asthma and post nasal drip.
