Maybe: Its always a good idea to wash fruits and vegetables before preparing or consuming. In addition to viruses, there may be bacteria, debris and chemical residue that needs to be washed away. Wash fragile fruits/veggies with plain water. Scrub firmer fruits and veggies that have a thick rind like melons with a soft brush. Never use hand sanitizer on anything edible.
