A member asked:

Should one also cover eyes in addition to covering mouth and nose with mask to avoid exposure to corona virus? lots of people only use masks but that may not provide full protection, right?

Different advice: There is no recommendation to cover your eyes. In fact, masks should mostly only be worn by patients with active respiratory symptoms and health care providers caring for Covid patients. You may even touch the front of your mask and then infect yourself theoretically.

Face shields: Mask with face shield should be used when someone is providing healthcare to possible COVID 19 patients. Currently masks are being recommended to non-medical personnel to help prevent them from transmitting germs to others.
