Yes.: Pregnancy is associated with increased white blood cell count. It may plateau in the third trimester and may range from 9000 to 15000 cells/microL. However, in the absence of labor, counts greater than 20,000 cells/microL should have hematologic evaluation. Note: During labor counts may go as high as 29.000 cells/microL.
