My left tonsil is bothering me feels a bit swollen and it kinda hurts when i touch it. ive suffered from this all my life i get it at least 1-2 times a year. i feel like i have a bit of difficulty breathing correctly but can inhale & exhale. ?

Doctor can evaluate: Throat symptoms can be from a strep throat infection (antibiotics needed), a cold or mild flu (antibiotics are not used), or from some other cause such as allergies, irritants, or other viruses like EBV (causes mono). Usually, a person sees the doctor if the sore throat or tonsil symptoms are bothersome, recurrent, or don't go away in a couple of days (mainly to check for strep throat).
