A member asked:

Why do i have heartburn, rectal pain, lower abdominal pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varied symptoms: These 3 symptoms warrant an evaluation by a physician or, preferably, a gastroenterologist. More history and a physical examination are necessary to make a diagnosis of the abdominal distress. Any appropriate testing will be performed. In the meantime avoid alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, aspirin, and NSAIDs like ibuprofen and take omeprazole or famotidine to treat heartburn until you're seen.
