Depends on details: Normal, healthy people don't typically get this blood test done, so it is hard to know a person's CRP value before and after a problem. Having both numbers helps decide on the cause of a higher CRP. If one only has the CRP value after a problem, one does not know if it is coincidence or if the problem is creating an inflammation that leads to a higher CRP. The ordering doctor will know details.
