A member asked:

How can you have sed rate of >140 but a normal crp? what could this possibly indicate?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible : The ESR and CRP are both used as markers of inflammation in the body. There are situations in which the ESR maybe markedly elevated but the CRP normal. Renal insufficiency, infection, low serum albumin, and rheumatoid arthritis may all be associated with ESR and normal CRP. Please follow up with your doctor.
