Whatever is safest: Healthcare is a team effort, so it is wise to put the least vulnerable team members on the front line. Humans transmit coronaviruses. Also, lupus patients with disease in remission or well controlled can work, but lupus patients with active disease will be having many symptoms that make it too difficult to work. A person might miss a lot of work during flare-ups, which can occur unpredictably.
