COVID-19: The COVID-19 coronavirus probably is not transmitted by food. However, restaurants may be unsafe environments due to the number of people sitting near one another.

Oral transmission: Yes - there is evidence for oral transmission. Active viral particles have been detected in patients' faces. High temp cooking may be able to kill virus. However, not going to restaurant at this time is a good idea because of also not enough social distance and risk of exposure, etc.
