A member asked:

Are buffets especially dangerous places during the covid-19 outbreak? are they reservoirs of germs? what about food bars at stores like at whole foods?

COVID 19 & buffets: See: https://www.fda.gov/food/food-safety-during-emergencies/food-safety-and-coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19. People tend to congregate at buffets and to handle utensils and touch surfaces often. Although COVID 19 is not a foodborne illness, I would personally be very hesitant to eat at a public buffet.
