Potentially: If the waiting room is set up to allow for a minimum of 6 ft btwn patients & patients are required to wear masks that will help. It is also important that there be an isolation room (s) for people who are febrile or are otherwise potentially infected. If you believe you have COVID 19 call your doctor's office first to get guidance. Your Dr's office may or may not be set up for COVID patients.
