A member asked:

What happens when your microalbumin is 33.8 mg/l.? is it serious ? how do i lower it ? thank you

Borderline high: The normal limit of microalbuminuria is 30. Do you have diabetes or hypertension? If so many clinicians would recommend starting you on an ACE inhibitor like lisinopril. Your physician, who obviously knows your history, is best to advise you. You could consult a nephrologist for evaluation and advice, also.
