Blue snot: That bacteria is most likely causing the blue nasal discharge. If you're experiencing symptoms of congestion of nasal passages, feverishness,headache or very copious nasal discharge, I recommend seeing your MD, having a culture and sensitivity of the mucus and getting started on an antibiotic which can be changed if culture results(takes 48 hours) determine that antibiotic isn't effective.
