What does a hsv 2 index value of 5.64 mean? i was reading an oxford hsv2 study and they indicated that scores 1.1-3.5 were considered low positive and scores >3.5 are considered to be high positive. i received lab work of a value of 5.64.

Previous infection,: testing can show if an individual has ever contracted an HSV infection. It is much harder to say the actual time of onset, unless active lesions are seen for the first or recurrent times.
