Will the middle of the u.s. get fewer covid-19 cases than the coasts given less international travel?

Maybe - BUT: Although crowded cities with airports filled with international travelers may have been how a number of cases of COVID 19 first got to the US - it is now spreading throughout the US without help from international travelers. Meat/ poultry packing companies and areas with congregate living have been especially hard hit (including those from the middle of the country).

No,this has not shown to be true through most of the pandemic,except,as already said,the beginning.What is affecting how many cases is related more to vaccination rate (higher=fewer serious cases) and to the consequent variants that have developed. Please get vaccinated, wear a well fitting KN95 or N95 or medical grade surgical mask properly when in crowds or unknown vax status of those around you
