Hygiene: since we cannot be there to remind them to wash hands and stay distanced, we need to trust that they have learned this for themselves. Keeping their dorm room/apartment clean, frequent hand washing, observing social distance rules and taking care of themselves (enough sleep/nutritious food/exercise) are the best ways to prevent getting sick. Make sure they have a mask, gloves for outings.

Attending in-person: My children were sent home from college and are doing their studies over the internet. I doubt any universities have on-site classes. Wash hands (or use sanitizer) often for at least 20 seconds. Wash hands before touching eyes, nose or mouth. Use a cloth cover over mouth & nose when around others. Avoid sick people. Distance at least 6 feet from others. Clean/ disinfect surfaces.
