A member asked:

My toddler (18 months) temperature dropped to 35 degrees. she has a bit of a cold. should i panic???

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Infant temperatures: In a very small child low temperature can be sign of infection, but it is very rare and the child is drowsy, weak and mottled in color. Temperature can be difficult to take in small children and, until age 3 ,it is recommended that it be taken rectally (see below link for technique). https://www.healthychildren.org/English/health-issues/conditions/fever/Pages/How-to-Take-a-Childs-Temperature.aspx
