How does a bowel obstruction cause dehydration? is it because fluid is absorbed and sent into the blood stream in large int and if theres a blockage fluid and food cant move through?

Part: it's going to be part of the answer although the main problems are that the ball quits moving and get some what's inflamed and then simply the fluid collects on the middle of the tube and not working it absorb.

Unable to take in: If there is complete bowel obstruction you will be unable to take in food and fluids as these usually cause vomiting.
