Scurvy: Vitamin C deficiency is rare in modern era. Historically, it was reported in sailors of 18th century. Common symptoms include gum swollen, easy bleeding, impaired wound healing, bone pain, fatigue and weakness, etc. Memory loss has not been directly linked to the vitamin C deficiency, certainly possible. Some patients with severe scurvy did have psychiatric change.

Low Vit C & D: Please consult your primary care doc to make sure any meds you are taking are not blocking absorption or for possible physical conditions. Low vitamin levels can account for depression, which can interferes w/memory until resolved. Peace and good health.
