I've noticed among the ingredients listed on the back of my toothpaste (popular name-brand sensitivity formula) something called polyacrylic acid. wouldn't that be harmful to tooth enamel since it is an acid or is it safe?

Inactive Ingredient: It is an inactive ingredient used as a thickener, dispersant, emulsifier, or suspender. It will not harm your tooth.
