Not enough: For a meaningful answer, but the best way to start the process would be to discuss with your pill prescriber. Without knowing what type of pill or patches are being discussed and the condition been treated or prevented there is not much else one can speculate on.

Ask the prescriber: When looking for a change in medication, a patient needs to talk with her prescribing doctor and explain what she likes and dislikes about her current medication, and explain what she hopes to gain by switching to another medication. There are many medications that come in patch form, and countless ones that come in pill form. We don't know any such details on a free, public forum.
