My left ear pains i went to the clinic they gave me antibiotics but they are not working, the ear pains from inside?

Missing information: You get the most from this site when you provide detailed information to support your question. What antibiotics were given and how long ago? Where in the ear was there an infection? Some of the pain from a middle ear infection is caused by a stretch on the ear drum by pus & this takes time to resolve. Ibuprofen and a heating pad to the side of the head often help.
