Likely ringworm: It is likely to be a fungus infection like ringworm or athlete's foot, but it happens behind the ears. Get medicine for athlete's foot (lotrimin (clotrimazole) is one, there are several others). Apply a little of the cream to the area and rub it in twice a day and it should clear in 3-5 days. Use the cream again at the first sign of the rash coming back.
