Specialist to check: If a younger, refluxing baby is already taking Zantac (ranitidine), getting burped, and being held upright often, the question becomes: is there good growth and no pain? If the baby is happily growing despite spitting every feeding, it may be ok to keep watching, but 8 months is a long time! A pediatric GI doctor can arrange for imaging studies and more evaluation to see how to solve this.
