Early development: If she is otherwise healthy, growing and feeding well, she is most likely well. Continue to enjoy time with your daughter, and reading to her is another way to communicate with her and to bond. If you notice no response to softer sounds, please discuss with your pediatrician. It is likely that you are spending plenty of time with your baby and she is quite familiar with your voice (smiles when you talk with her). She may very well be used to your presence as a constant and doesn't need to start up or startle at the sound of your voice. If she has a social smile to your voice and can clearly hear her father, all should be fine.
