Indefinitely: Using saline in a nebulizer is one of the few things that can be done indefinitely to help an infant loosen thick secretions. As long as the equipment is kept clean & the saline sterile there is no risk of overdoing it.

Monitor temperature: You can continue to use the Nebulized saline, but an evaluation by your pediatrician is suggested. The saline is used as needed every 2-4 hours. A virtual consultation to listen to the baby and to consult with recommendations may be performed on heatlhtap.
