Two days ago i was told i have laryngitis and now i have a cough deep in my chest and coughing up thick gray phlegm. should i go back to the doctor?

No...you: Showed up with "laryngo" and now manifest the "tracheobronchitis" associated with viruses. Fluids, Aspirin or tylenol, (acetaminophen) expectorants. Ifyou develop blood in sputum, temperature greated than 37 c/101f, report to your doc or the er for a cxr.
