A member asked:

When they do a ct scan of the head does it include the neck?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really: The head sits on top of the neck but is not part of the neck. A head CT usually stops scanning at about where the neck starts. If a CT of both head and neck are needed, the imaging test will be ordered as a CT of the head and the neck.
