Possible asthma: Children who have bronchospasm may present with coughing which may worsen at night. If there is nasal congestion, post nasal drip may also cause cough, especially while lying down. Use nasal saline drops and rinse the nose, cool air mist and please follow up with your pediatrician. Avoid smoke, dust, pollen and mold.
