I fell down about 6 or 7 stairs yesterday, and now i am experiencing a very severe pain in my left lower back/hip area. i can not rotate my upper body. i have a cold sharp pain going down my left leg as well. how should i go about treating this?

You should seek immediate medical attention for 2 reasons, first symptom control as pain is unbearable and second to have imaging and treatment as needed depending on findings and potential for further damage.
