A member asked:

Do all arcuate uterus types need surgery before getting pregnant (to decrease the miscarriage rate)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: The arcuate uterus (one of the most common congenital uterine anomalies) is not believed to affect fertility, but data are scanty. So, there is not exist a preventive surgical protocol to avoid miscarriage in arcuate uterus. However, every case must be treated individually by a certified gynecologist to determine if any uncommon procedure must be done.
