Category C: This medication has a mid-level classification for use during pregnancy. (A-X) A is the safest while X is a never/never. As a category C drug, not enough human data has been accumulated to show it is safe, but available data does not show harm. When the use is necessary for the health of the patient it is considered worthwhile.
