Left anterior hemibl: Left anterior fascicular block, otherwise known as left anterior hemiblock or left axis axis deviation is caused by a defect of only the anterior half of the left bundle branch. This finding is probably predictive of future cardiovascular problems more often than not. However I have followed patients over the years with left axis deviation who had no cardiac sequelae.
