In first joint. wondering if arthritis?? 57 yrs old have hashimoto's and allergic to nsaids to the point they cause angioedema if taken. what can i do? left thumb swollen and hot and painful

Joint pain: The pain could be for various reasons. Infection, gout, arthritis or some type of autoimmune response given your Hashimoto's. The thumb is also prone to inflammation of the tendons too. If you have trouble with NSAID a steroid could help. However, probably and good idea to get your checked first.
