No/unknown: Bruxism is the label we use for unexplained teeth grinding/biting that can occur during the day or night. It's origins are unknown but not related to worms or other mythical explanations. Many kids grow out of it over time but it can cause tooth damage. In older kids dental guards may be inserted to prevent damage to the permanent teeth. Discuss this with his dentist.

2 examinations: Your child needs 2 examinations. See child medical specialist, Pediatrician, if you are concerned about worms (which will not cause nocturnal clenching) but can cause other serious problems. Your child should also see a child dental specialist, Pedodontist, to evaluate clenching. Please don't put off either appointment.
