Work up: Will be needed. You experience dysuria or burning after urination and your dipstick was abnormal. Back pain is also of concern and imaging should substantiate structural changes. There are many other benign causes for your symptoms, including stones or cysts, cancer cannot be ruled out yet. Stick with your doc, who may consult an urologist, if needed.

Need to examine: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests.
