What can i take for a sore throat and runny nose?

Fluid, Acetaminophen: If you do not have fever, drink enough water or juice to stay hydrated. You may take acetaminophen for pain, no more than 4 gm/day, no alcohol. If your tonsils are enlarged, it would be prudent to get tested for Strep throat as that would require antibiotics. Do not take so called decongestants, as these have untoward side effects.
