Pediatrician helps: His pediatrician can check during his regular 6-month check-up visit. Otherwise, a parent can make an extra appointment to check the feet. His doctor will want to ensure that the feet are getting good blood circulation, from the heart to the toes. Sometimes, the doctor will find that things are ok. Other times, the doctor may decide that some tests are needed.

Probably normal: infants have a circulatory system that tends to shift blood flow to deep tissues to avoid energy loss. Unless the outside temperature is above that of the infant, I would consider this pretty normal on areas like the feet, the ears & fingers.

Exam: Your pediatrician can measure his pulse oximetry, BP and check pulses. His cardiac exam may reveal a cause of poor circulation, but usually the cause is vasoconstriction peripherally. If he is growing, feeding and otherwise well, he is probably fine.
