Hi. i have a history of mild acne and i was on oratane for 6 months in 2018. it looks as though its starting again. does this mean i have to go back oratane?

Odd statement: Oratane is a strong drug with many potential side effects. In the USA it's use is limited to moderate to severe acne, usually the cystic form. It is also seldom used by docs other than dermatologists.Why you would be on it for mild acne is confusing.

Dermatologist helps: Oratane is used to treat the more severe cases of acne. That means it is not used to treat mild acne. Maybe a patient was a special case, if she was treated with Oratane for only mild acne. That also means she needs to recheck with her dermatologist to find the next step, as her doctor should already know her whole picture and how her skin responded to various acne medications in the past.
