Time to see a doctor: An adult with irregular heartbeats should be checked by his primary care doctor (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine) to make sure his body is ok from a general check-up point of view and to listen to his heart. It could be that he is out of shape (deconditioned). It could also be that his heart is beating irregularly for another reason (cardiac problem, hormonal imbalance, drug effect, etc...).
