ER or doctor checks: An adult with left shoulder or left arm pain symptoms, along with nausea and heartburn sensations has to go to her doctor or the ER to be checked for a heart attack. That means not waiting at home to see what happens next. It could turn out to be an acid reflux problem, lung problem, a bone or muscle problem, or a spinal nerve problem, but a heart attack kills people. Better safe than sorry.
