My son is complaining of a pain in his side where his kidney is. he says it is very sore inside. stabbing pain. i asked him whether it is sore when he urinates but he says no. i am worried as he works on a game farm in parys freestate?

Exam needed: Persistent abdominal or flank discomfort warrants an evaluation by a physician. Right lower abdominal discomfort, especially with associated tenderness, raises concern for acute appendicitis. Flank pain can be caused by kidney stone or other urinary tract pathology. Prompt evaluation, testing and care can best be obtained in the hospital emergency room.
