Twice a day...: It is not bad to use the cream as prescribed. Sparingly means that you should only use a very small amount and only on the area of concern. Do not use for more than two weeks. Be sure to moisturize the area well now and after it heals. Take great care to avoid getting the steroid cream in you eye.

No: Quite gentle, however, do not get it in your eye and the secret is : a very thin layer: a small pea sized drop massage in with a Qtip- gently.
