A member asked:

I have a small bump in the tear duct in my right eye close to my nose. what is it and how do i treat it? please and thank you in advance.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Blockage/cyst ?: The tear duct is a tiny pipe that can become blocked with debris and or form a cyst like structure. Rolling the tip of your finger from nose toward ear over the bump can push debris further down the duct or make it back up through the tear sac where you can remove it. Some of these persist & must be dealt with by an ophthalmologist.
