The concept: The cited theory behind this is why it is used in ADHD kids. Some people are wired with a controller mechanism that supervises vigilance in a different manner than others. This controller center is less active with ADHD so they don't do well with focus. In these stimulants increase controller activity & reign in activity, causing more sedate behavior. I guess you are wired this way.
