Ideally: About same time for 2 reasons: 1. Bioavailability for the drug remains consistent with therapeutic troughs 2. Improved compliance as a set time will trigger taking the drug that may be otherwise easily missed all together.

A schedule is better: It is recommendable to take it every day at the same hour to reduce the risk of forgetting take the pill and help to maintain a better amount of drug in the body. A mismatch of two or three hours may not be a problem, but it is better to stick to a schedule.
