ER, or eye doctor: An ophthalmologist (medical eye doctor) should check. He has magnifying equipment that gives a good exam of the eyeball and eyelids. The eye doctor can see infection, irritation or inflammation, abnormal eyelid position, something stuck in the eye, etc... If a person increasing pain in his eye, the ER can help if no eye doctor is available right away. With bad eye pain, driving can be unsafe.
