Rule out infection.: Vaginitis is not common after the menses. Vaginitis usually presents as one or more symptoms such as a change in vaginal discharge, itching, burning, irritation, redness, bleeding/spotting or pain with sex or urination. The cause may be infectious such as bacterial vaginosis, candida, trichomoniasis, mycoplasma, gonorrhea, chlamydia, etc. See your doctor to evaluate for infections.
