Hi! i have a fresh tattoo and i got herpes zoster outbreak on the area of the tattoo, i use bepanthen on my tattoo and my dermatologist prescribed me with valtrex and calamine lotion. will the calamine lotion damage my fresh tattoo? do i need it?

Who knows?: Calamine lotion is a placebo, not likely to either help or harm this. There is no experience or science on which to judge this. Check with the dermatologist and follow his or her advice.
